Firefox 2 Has Gotta Wait

I jumped the gun and installed Firefox 2.0 as soon as it was available. I have a dedicated Firefox user since, well since before it was called Firefox, so I was kind of excited about 2.0, even though it doesn’t mark much of an upgrade from 1.5.07. Anyway, I upgraded like normal, but what happens? I lose Session Saver, Tab Mix Plus, and a few other great extensions! Needless to say I rolld back to 1.5.07 and will just update this wknd or next wknd, when I have the time to find new extensions, get my tabs working the way I like them, and some how part with Session Saver- the single best and most useful extension ever. Apparantly Ff 2.0 has parts of Session Saver built in, but I am hesitant to change.
Interesting I noted that by going to Help > Check for Updates, it says there are no updates found. Kind of strange, but maybe the move to 2.0 is seen as being big enough that it cannot be done with just an built-in updater?
Since I don’t use IE, I did not bother to upgrade to IE7 on my work computer. Normally I would say “don’t fix it if it ain’t broken” but that hardly applies here. IE6 is definitely broken but IE7 is not the fix I am looking for. It’s an improvement, but not even close to luring me away from Firefox.

It’s amazing that FF 2.0 hit over 2 million downloads during first 24 hrs. I’ll hold a bit longer to update so those extensions get sorted out, or the improved versions one come out.
