… a few days make. The changes being made to the countries political landscape over the past two days have been incredible. First the Dems took the house- no big surprise, but a tremendously important step forward. Next Virginia is toppled and the Dems take the Senate, thanks in no small part to George Allen’s wacky antic.

So with the Democrats in control of Congress, even with a somewhat tenuous hold, times are changing quickly.

• GOP Revolt – ok, not really, but this is a good sign
• Bipartisanship on the horizon? – probably not, but some will be needed
• Changes will happen in Iraq
• GOP falling apart like cheap suit

So everything actually went pretty well. I am disappointed about the Senate race in Tennessee, in which Harold Ford Jr. put up an amazing campaign against Bob Corker. This would have been a major win for the Dems and a real statement of progressive thinking from the people of Tennessee.
