PS3 Fails to Impress

I am not going to pass judgement until I have had more time to spend with the PS3 (I have only played a few minutes so far) but things are not looking great. A NY Times reviewer did not have much good to say about the PlayStation in an article today and pointed out how the console was released late and still does not feel finished. The biggest complaint seemed to be an inability to do two things at once (such as play MP3s over a game or to download a demo/trailer while gaming), which seems especially ironic given the PS3’s processing power. That said, the reviewer, Seth Schiesel, seemed especially impressed with the Xbox 360 so that should be taken into consideration when reading the article.

He even goes so far as saying, “Even after Microsoft took the lead in the video-game wars a year ago with its innovative and powerful Xbox 360…”. I am pretty confused with this statement because releasing first (possibly prematurely) does not mean taking the lead and also who hyphenates “video-game”?
