Eragon: Worst Movie of the Year?

So I finally got to see Eragon.
I read the books and was waiting for the movie, not so much because I thought it would be good, but rather because I was interested in seeing just how the book would translate into a movie. For example, how would they make the dragon look or what would be cut/combined in order to make this this book, in which a lot happens, into a relatively short movie.
Anyway, the movie was not great, in fact, it sucked. This was not a surprise, especially after seeing the trailer and reading the NYtimes review, but I had to see it anyway. Who cares that it cost me $22…
I don’t even want to get into what was wrong with the movie version, because the book itself was not that great. The director and writers, somehow managed to mangle the storyline even worse than it originally was, which must have took the majority of the day they spent planning for the movie. Eragon was filled with laugh-out-loud funny lines like “Into the sky, to win or die!” which the hero was saying seriously, but could in no way be seen as being anything but comical. In addition there was no character development at all and there seemed to be no connection between the characters, so friendships and alliances had to be simply accepted and not understood as the movie jumped from one important moment to the next- it was like reading a scrapbook of the novel.

You are right, the film and book are both awful. No comparison between Eragon and LotR!
The movie was so bad im not even gonna by the next book… one of the worst movies i have ever seen. did anyone else notice that it moved fast, if you went to the bathroom you would have missed half the movie
