Fujitsu LifeBook P1610D

I have had my eye on this tablet for a few weeks now. It’s a mini-tablet ultramobile subcompact notebook (everone seems to call it something different), with a 8.9″ LCD and starts at just 2.2lbs. You can find the complete specs here, if you are into that sort of thing, but it suffices to say that this is a very small and very capable tablet.
I have not seen too much press on the system but the goes over at JKontherun managed to grab one and put together a video review. While this is one of the only comprehensive looks at the product the video is pretty tough to get through (52 unedited minutes with multiple breaks, including the host talking to his cat and focusing the camera).
While this looks like a great ultramobile, you can’t get something this small without sacrifices. The keyboard on devices this small tend to be tough to use (just try out the Flybook for a few minutes), the price is rather high, and while it is very light, the difference between this and something more useable like the X60 Tablet or some of Panasonic’s Toughbooks.
There are a few comments worth reading, including some guy you pointed out: “it came loaded with Win XP Pro, NOT win XP Tablet Edition” and the “inking is terrible. It seems like it’s trying to correct my writing which is making the writing really ugly.”
Anyway, worth looking into. Hopefully I will be able to play with one at CES. JKontherun has some interesting posts and is worth checking out if you mobile gear.

Just a quick update- the P1610 was torn apart on Cnet: http://notebookreview-cnet.com.com/Fujitsu_LifeBook_P1610_Core_Solo_1_2GHz_1GB_RAM_80GB_HDD/4505-3121_7-32136367.html?subj=fdba&part=notebookreview-cnet&tag=_Laptops
