Itunes Frustrations

I am a big fan of Itunes. I have been a faithful user (on my Windows systems) for a few years now and I have always said it is one of the biggest selling points of the iPod.
As good as the software is though, it has some very annoying issues. I won’t get into the things that everyone seems to complain about, my by two problems with it:
- It can only download three podcasts at once. Why is this? Every other program I work with can handle many more downloads at the same time, usually while uploading.
- When downloading, Itunes is a huge bandwidth hog. During downloads Itunes will stop any other applications from getting access to the internet and my browser windows (Firefox) will completely stop working. This is especially true when downloading three items.
There are most problems I have, but I am a dedicated podcast listening so there are constant annoyances.
