Back from Paris

I’m exhausted, sick, and back home. I had a great time in Paris this week- ate lots of great food, saw lots of cool things, did some shopping, at more great food, walked an insane amount, and took hundreds of pictures. Right now I am using the weekend to get everything back together and try to answer at least some of my emails as well as catch up on the week’s news.
While in Paris I was completely and totally off the grid. I don’t know how I did it, but I felt great. I was originally going to bring a laptop out there, but ended up bringing a Nokia N800 that I did not use. Over the week I had no cell phone, no laptop, no email, no internet… I did not even read the newspaper. It was a nice way to decompress for the week, though it does make getting home that much more difficult. Luckily I got back yesterday at about 6pm so I had last night and all of this weekend to straighten things out.
