Fujitsu P7230

I just got my hands on a Fujitsu P7230 ultraportable notebook. This their new 10.1″ two and a half pound flyweight model, and it is one of the cooler things I have gotten my hands on in some time. It is extremely small and light and thanks to an Intel Core Solo U1400 it has a very long battery life. In fact Fujitsu is claiming up an an insane 9.75 hours! Plus, it has an optical drive, something neither the Dell D420 nor Lenovo X60s have.
The model I have is white, which looks great, but it’s available in black too. The system has a suede-like material on the bottom which is strange, but still cool. It’s running Vista Business which would not be my first choice, but is something I guess we are all going to have to live with…
I have only spent a few hours with it (just got it yesterday) but I am really enjoying it. I still can’t wait to get Asus’ U1, but the Fujitsu has really managed to impress me so far. The P7230 probably will not get as much attention at the P1610D, the mini tablet with a 8.9″ display, but it is much better suited for my needs and is much easier to type on than the P1610D.
Be on the look out for some more posts and then a full review.

If you used a measuring tape/ruller in the photo, it would help seeing the dimensions. Also approx. price range.

oooooooooh. i just ordered one of these, glad to see that you were pleased with it. i currently use a P5020–which i am in love with, but which only has a 30G hard drive and 512 RAM. (i’m not so good with the geeky tech stuff, but it seems to be a little slow for my current needs and i have to store a lot of stuff on an external drive.)
also psyched about bluetooth possibilities. yay!
