Out of the Office with the P7230

After coming for the city last night for a meeting I decided to stay in NYC today (I was going to be here over the weekend anyway) and work away from the office. I had (still have) a number of things to do that can be done from anywhere with an internet connection so it seemed like a great experience to road test the Fujitsu P7230 that I have been playing with lately.
So far, after about 5 hours of use, the notebook has performed very well. I have it set to the highest battery life the display is as dim as possible and the CPU is not cranking as hard as it could, but it is more than sufficient for web work. There have been no problems (save for a Firefox crash a few minutes ago).
The battery life is currently at 26% (97 minutes of life left) which is great. As fr they keyboard, it is a bit on the small side but I have gotten used to it and can type pretty quickly- much better than on a P1610D, but no as good as on an X60s.
Moving the laptop from place to place has been a great experience given its weight. It is so light that a barely notice it in my messenger bag yet still has an optical drive (which is currently holding a copy of Ubuntu that I have yet to install).
I had to make some tweaks today to get the WiFi and SD working but past that everything has gone swimmingly. So far it looks like Fujitsu has a great product on their hands…
