Talking Text Editors at WWD

There is a great open thread over at Web Worker Daily about text editors. Just like everyone has their own writing style, everyone has their own method for putting that text down on the computer. There are a lot of great word processing programs out there and text editors so there is no method that is clearly a winner over the others.
Personally, I am not overly thrilled with Google Documents and use it only rarely. I tend to write in Gmail, which is great for saving and distributing, plus I can get at it from anywhere. When I am on my computer I mainly use TextPad for extended writing (sometimes saving to Word or OOo depending on if I need to submit something formatted). I find myself cutting and pasting in Notepad a lot in order to remove text formatting, but for anything over a paragraph it’s either Gmail or Textpad.
