Al Gore’s Office Rocks

20.jpg

This photo of Al Gore in his office is making the rounds this weekend and I just stumbled on it. It was originally posted in an otherwise unexciting photo gallery at Time.com.

Wow, he looks like he’s been pretty busy. I can empathize with the clutter, but what really caught my eye was the triple monitor setup…. looks awesome. Those looks like Apple displays, probably 23″ 30″ models. He is way to close to them and typing on that keyboard on the edge of the desk must be uncomfortable, but I am sure if anything long needs to be typed he just dictates it to someone else. At least I would…

    Look at all that electricity he’s using w/all those screens and the TV. He’s not helping the global warming cause w/just extravagence.

    I like the 3 monitor setup, but not the mess

    Ha, good point John. Maybe though he is so productive with those big monitors that he can cut down on his computer time enough to justify the extra electricity their sucking down…

    What a hypocrite. Al “Do as I say not as I do” Gore.
    Oh well, he can just buy some “carbon offset” credits from himself. He can save on TP by using his “offsets”.

    Eh, I would not be too hard on him if you are talking about power consumption.

    Electrical requirements
    * Input voltage: 100-240 VAC 50-60Hz
    * Maximum power when operating: 90W (Apple Cinema HD Display)
    * Energy saver mode: 3W or less

    So that’s 270W (max). Plus the TV and computer… No where near as bad as something like taking a private jet…
