Memorial Day Week

I don’t know if it’s just me, but it looks like a lot of people really extended their Memorial Day weekend this year.
Like most other people I took off Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and put in about a half day on Friday, but when I started working today I sent out a number of emails and got back autorespond messages from nearly half the people. Okay, so some of them had not yet had a chance to shut of the message (I’m on the east coast so it was still early on the west coast) and some had forgot, but a lot of people had extended the vacations.
I’m not really going anywhere with this, and, more than anything, I am jealous. It interesting to see how people that are overworked are forced to take of time when they can and how those times are often exactly when they should be in the office making up for lost time. You can’t beat a four-day weekend though…
yeah I usually send out e-mails on monday, sent out my batch Tuesday at around 2PM and get alot of out of office notices
