Boy Genius is reporting that HTC, probably this year, will be dropping the Vogue on us along with a number of other phones. The Vogue is the most exciting because it is supposedly the CDMA version of their Touch phone, the one that has been making all the headlines lately. There was also some talk about a CDMA version of the Excaliber, which would be really cool, though it would be getting to CDMA users quite late.

Anyway, this is good news for Verizon users who have really been taking a beating lately. Verizon has done an extremely poor job with choosing phones and the one that could have been good, the BlackBerry 8830 was very quickly overshadowed by the Curve, which is looking like a lot better choice. I guess we’ll see when this phone finally makes it way to users. Chances are, like other CDMA modles it will be late enough that the phone is no longer relevant and we are talking about rumors of better models.

The Vogue does look like an iPhone for people who are more oriented toward a real PDA and less toward an iPod. I love that it’s small but also has a big screen.

Hopefully, it feels as good as it looks when and if VZW gets it in.

Well, if you used used the HTC Touch you have used the Vogue. It’s very small and extremely slick- but unless you add an app for the keyboard, you have to input text with a stylus which is not good.
