		<description>Yes, the RSS reader saves time, but it can create a lot of extra reading too. I took the chance to limit my news this morning to Techmeme and Google News and a few other high points, not my normal 100+ feeds. 

It was a nice break, but you're right about all that extra browsing if you can't afford to hold off on your reading for the morning...</description>

		<description>I don't know about "free time". If the RSS feed reader is down, and I feel I still need the news, I have to do a lot of browsing - TechMeme and all the major sites. So, while it may have been a mini-vacation, Google Reader's absence didn't do me many favors.</description>
