Asus Eee Gets Reviewed

Those lucky guys over at Notebook Review somehow got their hands on an Asus Eee, the $199 OLPC/Foleo killer!
This is the first real review of the product and a lot of interesting things came to light, including that the price will probably be $250, and then even more for the 16GB model. We also get to finally see some action shots of the LCD, which does not look great- it’s a 7″ LCD on notebook that looks like it can accommodate a 10.6″ one. The battery life is only expected to come in at about 3 hour.
All told, I have my doubts, but for that price I will be buying one. You can’t really go wrong, though a lot is going to depend on how good Asus’ custom Linux OS is and how much customization can be done to it.
