Dear Sal Cangeloso,Thank you so much for the rocket engines. Our students will have an exciting, hands-on way of learning Newton’s 3rd Law. My students are already talking about the project and thanks to you, we will have an amazing time building and flying homemade rockets. Thank you and have a great day.

Thanks to DonorsChoose.org and Federated Media, I was able to help out some middle school students and a very dedicated teacher. The project proposal outlined teaching children in a middle school in San Jose some aspects of applied science through the use of 192 model rockets. It seemed like a worthy cause, and they were able to raise the necessary $662 in order to complete the project. That’s great news and it looks like those kids are in for some really fun learning, just the type of thing that we need to get children to better appreciate the sciences and just how interesting they can be.
As small a role as I played in all this, it’s really great to see it in action. The infrastructure that Donors Choose has set up for micro-giving is incredibly easy to do and really rewarding. If a few dollars can help out some students or a charity in need, and the donor can actually see the benefit, the effect is that much more powerful.
