Guadia Quest Mini-Guide
1:46 pm March 15th, 2009 by Sal Cangeloso
Guadia Quest is an awesome little NES-style RPG that comes on Retro Game Challenge. It’s a lot like Dragon Warrior on the NES, but much easier and more approachable. You can save whenever you’d like, as often as you’d like, so you can play without worrying about losing much work. The game is very enjoyable, but the items and spells are not explained at all, so you will have to experiment to figure out what everything does.
Because it is a game within a game I have not been able to find any guides for the game, so here are some notes that I have put together. You won’t necessarily need them but in case you want to do the best that you possibly can without a ton of grinding, they’ll probably help.
[This mini-guide is a work-in-progress. It is woefully inadequate at the moment.]

Just a few notes for you.
Incense is to repell enemies when traveling on the world map. I have never seen metamega spell before, sorceress level 21. and fegra does not heal you, level 24 for healer.
I have just a bit about bosses to add.
boss 1:have all your characters at least level 15.
megra and degra are best against it but I reccomend degra.
boss 2: make sure all of your characters are in the high twenties before facing this boss. Have a high level FREE GUADIA for this boss. try a combination of magic and weapons to defeat this boss.
I am going to go in detail about lone kirin boss battle.
1: make sure that your characters are all at least level 24.
2: have a level 23 or higher free guadia.
3: be at full health and full magic before the battle.
4: have one character use CHERO have another use HEALT and have the third use WEAKI stop doing this once lone kirin’s stats are lowest possible and yours are highest possible then have two of your characters attack with their weapons NOT MAGIC and have one use healt to constantly heal your team.
5: your healer should have Imup or you should have a few naga pints 2 should be enough but in some cases you will need 4 but if you have Imup then you won’t need any.
6:keep 3 remedies for extra magic 1 for each character.
7: use magfigs and lifefigs to increase your health and magic before fighting lone kirin.
If you follow these 7 tips then lone kirin will be easy.
here is my next boss walkthrough guys!
darklord
1: have all of your characters level 26 or higher.
2: have a doom guadia level isn’t important just have one. They appear on floor 7.
3: have a big stash of rememedies 4 should be good but you might need 6 so be ready.
4: have character 1 use chero (strengthens your team.) have character 2 use healt (heals the entire team.) have character 3 use weaki. (weakens the boss.)
5: if someone needs a remedy have that character use it themself.
6:once you are at full power and he is at minimum power (he should do 25 damage per hit.) have character 1 use ragua (30 damage always hits.) character 2 continue useing healt (just in case.) and have character 3 use magda (degra and megra are too weak against it.)
note: if you find that you are losing too much health get a free guadia (floor 4 and up of the tower.) if you find that you are not doing enough damage to him use a doom guadia.
I am continueing my boss walkthrough now.
holyking:
1: be at least level 32 for this battle. (trust me the extra 2 levels makes a difference.)
2: have a mind guadia or arch guadia (wind guadias suck.)my mind guadia is at level 32 and has 175 strength so try to find one like mine.
3: have a stash of elixirs (an elixir is like a rememdy but much better.)
4: use the same strategy for this battle as the other ones. have character 1 use chero have character 2 use healt and character 3 use weaki once all of your team is at full strength and the boss is at his lowest start attacking with weapons but have character 2 keep using healt. (you’ll need to heal constantly because if you let your health get too low he’ll kill you all in one hit.)
5: heal constantly with healt.
6: make sure your characters have a very high MP. ( mostly your healer and your character using weaki.)
7: you might need to stray from direction 4 if a character dies. If a character dies then use a naga pint (I only had one during this battle.)there are three situations.
:if your healer dies- use a naga pint and have another character use healt and the third character can heal if necessary.
:if your weaki character dies have your healer use Imup and have your chero character use healt.
:if your chero character dies have your weaki character use Imup and keep your healer using healt.
8: if your heaker is close to not having enough MP to cast healt have your chero or weaki character give him an elixir so he can keep healing.
9: I could never find a very powerfull magic attack so use your weapons. (you can also try ragua and magda they are the best magic against it.)
notes:
1: yes I was fighting this boss while writing the walkthrough.
2: this boss should give you 9000 EXP and 4500 ducats. (this is meant to encourage you to beat it.)
this is my “how to get to the final boss” walkthrough
1: talk with the king who will give an evil speech.
2: visit the mausoleum. (from centraan go north and right around the rocks east of centraan continue right on a narrow grass path its still in the overworld, at the end you will find the mausoleum.
3:go to the grave. (inside the mausoleum NOT downstairs.)
4: (you now have the royalkey.) go to the back of centraan castle (to get there go in the castle and exit out the left then go up and right to find stairs in the back.
5: use the holykey on the door at the end of the hall take the stairs then use the key again and talk to the woman there.
6:once you learn the shocking truth and get the royal lei visit the centraan mausoleum (the southeast staircase in centraan.) LOOK into the tomb at the top DO NOT use the royal lei that is uaed automatically.
7: once you have the Akh glass return to the king and speak with him. Once you find out that the king has been possesed by a demon and you will begin the final battle which I will walk you through in the next reply.
boss miniwalkthrough
darkscream
note: this is not how to beat him its just what you should know about this boss.
1: it has a 100 damaga attack this is his ONLY POWERFULL ATTACK. If you use weaki his other attack will only do 9 damage or so but he uses his 100 damage attack often about once a turn or once every two turns
2: do not come into this battle without elixirs 4 should be good.
3: never stop healing, have your healer constantly use healt and if he needs magic have another character give it to him.
4: use the same strategy that I told you to use for the last bosses (every boss in this game requires the same strategy except the first one.)
notes:
1: I have not yet beaten this boss.
2: I would reccomend leveling up at the tower.
darkscream walkthrough
1: be at level 33 (this boss is a wimp
)
2: have the same guadia you had for the last battle (if you use the same guadia you’ll do fine don;t worry.)
3: keep 1 remedy (its all you’ll need I’m not joking this boss is a huge wimp.)
4: If you run out of remedies and you can’t heal yourself then just go crazy use your weapons for all three characters and slice at it!
5: use the same strategy as the other bosses.
6: you get 9999 EXP for killing it.
note:
1: before the battle go to an inn and buy a remedy thats it.
2: this guy is a wimp he only has one good attack and he dies very fast.
extra boss comments/ notes
1: you get 0 ducats for killing darkscream (what would be the point of giving you money you can’t use?)
2: to kill darkmemphis use megra and degra and heal whoever is hurt with whichever heal spell you have.
3:boss difficulty.
darkmemphis: medium
lone kirin: hard
darklord: hard
holyking: very hard
darkscream: easy
4: in the tower in the room with 16 mirrors look into the third one in the third row. (row 1 is on the left.)
5: all good places to level up.
before entering 1st dungeon: around timbuktoo.
before 1st boss: dungeon/ north overworld.
after first boss: tower 4th floor by healing emblem
after second boss: dungeon floor 5. (don’t fight fools!!!!.)
after third boss: tower floor ??? near healing emblem.
6: don’t fight fools or sun puppets. (fools waste magic and sun puppets give 0 EXP.)
7: I have never used fegra, hitta or harda I have no idea what they are for.
8: the tower enemies carry naga pints and lots of em’.
9:I’m going to keep fighting darkscream to find the easiest way to beat him. (not like its hard or anything.)
final comment
10: All game gaudia locations.
1: go as far northwest as possible and look at the bush.
2: go as far southwest as possible and look at the bush.
3: go 21 steps right and 2 steps down from timbuktoo and look.
Quick ADD
there are 5 game guadias not 3
if you go to timbuktoo and talk to the lady in the room she will guide you to one of them and the duck in the grave gives you the clue for the last one.
and you had mentioned that sun puppets give you 0 exp but thats because you didnt read the screen. The sun puppet ran away from you. If you beat him he gives you 5000 exp which is the best for any common enemy by far and they dont hit hard so its worth it to fight them. “FOOL”s however give you 2K and do waste magic so i wouldnt bother with them
thanks alex,
I think you’re right about the sun puppets and thanks for correcting me on the game guadias.
Also I’m playing through guadia quest a second time to find out the minimum level required to kill each boss here are my results so far.
darkmemphis: level 13 (maybe 12 if you have an excellent guadia and powerful weapons.
lonekirin: level 21 ( I’m sure about this because it is impossible without fegra unless you have healt which you get later then 21.)
hidden items: before darmemphis go right of the boss and instead of going up do right into the wall.
tower first floor: after first door go left and head up to find a path in the trees.
